Our steel processing and distribution capabilities are built around efficiency, reliability, and flexibility. From our central location in Dudley, we operate from a fully enclosed covered warehouse with a 1,000-tonne storage capacity, ensuring your material is protected from the elements and readily available for quick turnaround.
We handle bars and tubes in lengths from 6 to 10 metres using four-way reach forklift trucks, allowing safe and efficient movement of material throughout the site. With strong in-house systems and a hands-on team, we maintain full traceability of every item in stock — from mill production all the way through to end user delivery.
We offer nationwide delivery across the UK and Eire, with material transported on covered vehicles to protect against contamination, moisture, or handling damage. Whether you’re ordering a single cut length or a full batch delivery, you can expect careful packaging, accurate labelling, and reliable logistics from start to finish.
Cutting Services
Midland Special Steels provides cutting to length for both bar and tube in quantities ranging from one-offs to large-scale production runs of 1,000+ pieces. Our cutting department includes a versatile selection of band saws supported by a high-speed Kasto circular saw, capable of achieving cutting tolerances of ±1mm, making it ideal for precision applications where accuracy is key.
We typically supply cut pieces in lengths ranging from 10mm up to 2,000mm, with longer lengths available on request. Whatever your sizing needs, we’ll work with you to optimise material use and minimise waste.
All cut material is supplied securely packaged for ease of handling and transport. Options include Euro pallets, bundles, or customer-supplied containers for cut pieces, with longer items available in wooden boxes or with protective wrapping as required. Each item is labelled and marked to your specification, ensuring complete traceability and smooth integration into your production workflow.
